That one ^

This is sitting on my night stand next to my bed right now.

One of my absolute favorite pieces of artwork ever--and it's all because of Monsterphile.

I saw this in an old "your 1st FM" thread, he showed it and I had to have it--It's been displayed ever since I bought it.

Now--the story inside is a fantastic battle with the 2 great beasts. However...I still have no clue who APE is, and it's often spelled A*P*E....

This FM is for JAWS2...which is a year after the Kong remake (right?)...so I'm wondering if APE is just supposed to be Kong and FM couldnt use the name...or there is some crazy Ape movie that came out in the 70's trying to steal Kong's thunder.

Anyone?

you'd think if it was supposed to be Kong, that he would be bigger than Jaws in the pic, so I would go with a completely different ape.
Have ya tried google for the answer?

Did you read that? lol that is the most unoriginal movie ever!!

An Ape, an oil tanker, a great white shark, military.....lol, I'm not sure if they were paying homage or just flat out of ideas!

You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Monolith

That's a cool Jaws vs ape painting.

Remember the gorilla with thrashing arms from the Big Jim Jungle Adventure playset?
This pic isn't mine, but I do have the gorilla.

This could explain something.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074148/

I could read those reviews all day long--the fact that the shark is a "real dead" shark, wrestled by a man in a monkey suit is blowing my mind lol.

I may have to watch this movie.
