I remember that kit! I alays thought the gorilla liked as though he was thinking "What did I do?"
kind of like Steve A had just barged into tyhe Gorilla enclosure and started beating up gorillas and taking their bananas.

I know-I felt a little sorry for that gorilla.

And there was also this kit, which recently has been reissued.

I am shocked and stunned  that so far no one has mentioned our dear Cornelius from Planet of the Apes. Roddy McDowell  hung or should I say "swung" in there for all four Apes movies AND 'aped' it up in the short-lived tv series.

I'm on a roll here! I must be going bananas! Any mention of the '60's japanese cartoon of King Kong??  'You know the name of King Kong, ten times as big as a man.'

Nope-I don't think anyone posted White Pongo before you.

I love Roddy McDowell.My older brother took me to see the Planet of the Apes. I didn't know anything about it beforehand.That movie had a huge influence on me.

I also loved watching the Kong cartoons. I have volume one on dvd, they are still good. I have to get vol. 2.
I also have some of the cartoon Kong collectables-the record, the puppet,toy from the playset,and the bendy.

Hey does anyone here know what A*P*E was??

I have an issue of FM with APE Vs Jaws...and I thought when I got it they were referring to King Kong, but after reading it (again and again) I'm getting the idea it was some B rated version of Kong....anyone know what this is??
