My daughter sent me this one....

Holy crap Mike, I never watched that abomination before last night. ITunes had a free video of the "best of" Jersey Whores, and I have to say that if that steaming pile of excrement is the "best of" ANYTHING, our culture is in its death throes.

When did superficiality, ignorance, gutter morality, and walking sexual petri dishes become entertainment?  :P

Scatter, you are going to force me onto my soapbox! My kids and I argue endlessly about today's "celebrities". Back in the day, you had to actually *do* something to be considered a celebrity. You had to have some kind of talent, whether it be in acting, sports, music, art, whatever. Nowadays you have to just be drunk and offensive, get on teevee and *bam*, you're a celebrity!! The fact that someone like Snookie, granted I know little about her, except that she is on an MTV reality show and is usually a foul mouthed, drunken buffoon, and somehow she's entitled to get 30 grand for giving a speech!! What the hell could someone like her have to say that's worth 30 grand? What insights could she give us to better society, besides "Don't be like me"?

You are right, society is in it's death throes, and if this is a glimpse into the future, you can have it. Back in the day, Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable and other "stars" had their asses in airplanes, dropping bombs on our enemies. Today, Jane Fonda and Sean Penn coddle up to the enemy!!! It really makes me sick! Why is Kim Kardasian a celebrity? Why is Paris Hilton a celebrity? Good Lord save us from ourselves!!!

Sorry, but Scatter made me do it.... ;)

LMAO!! I can't STAND The Oprah.

I completely lost all respect for the woman, when she had the parents of that 16 year old boy who had been kidnapped by a neighbor and held hostage for a period of time. Oprah looked them straight in the face and said "Okay, I'm going to go there. Was he sexually abused?" Most reporters had the decency to *not* ask the parents this. Not the Oprah. And the sad thing was, the folks told what happened. It's none of Oprah's or our damn business. Do you think that boy wants America to know he was molested? Those parents need some serious help if they don't care for that boy more than that. Oprah should be ashamed....

Speaking of JERSEY SHORE, I was at the gym the other day, and these three young dudes were going on & on about the "buff" guys on JERSEY SHORE and their workouts and how awesome they were.  They talked about the chicks, too, but I kept thinking how "gym talk" has changed over the years.  Used to be about pro footballers, powerlifters and hot barbarian babes.  Now, it's about something or somebody called "The Situation"?  What the heck?
