That is excellent news! I'm so glad. I have to have surgery, and I'm not happy about it. Better make out my will. Anything you want?

Yeah.

I want you to wake up after and feel a hell of a lot better.

Get better! Sounds like you will have time for a few movies also. :'(

Thanks, that's nice of you to say. It's nothing that major (I think). Hernia surgery...feels like I have an Alien ready to burst out of my groin.

Remember that timeless sci-fi classic "Sleeper"?

Woody Allen went in for a peptic ulcer and woke up 200 years later...

(Enjoy your orgasmatron.)

I already have one, but thanks. I'm more concerned about a recent movie called "Sublime". A man goes in for a colonoscopy and winds up getting someone else's surgery. He contracts a weird staff infection that results in the removal of his leg and nightmarish death. Maybe I'll just postpone my hernia surgery for a decade or two.

I hope it succeeds as painlessly as possible for you. Enjoy some good monstering as you recover.  ;)

Thanks for the good wishes, guys. I'll be fine (and I will get some "monstering" done).

Now...back to movies. Just watched "The Devil Bat". Loads of fun all the way around. Bela is so wonderfully hammy in this.

Last House on the Left (1972)
This film was so ahead of its time. It set the bar for the slasher genre early on. Wes Craven was an absolute master.
