Man of Steel (2013)

*I like this film. Old-School Superman fans felt it was too violent and dark, but I think this version of Superman matches the current social climate. Christopher Reeve  was a great Superman, don't get me wrong, but a guy flying around in tights saying "thank you m'am" and rescuing cats from trees isn't going to go over well with audiences used to the Dark Knight and Avengers movies. So I think MOS updates character well. Nice supporting cast too IMO.

Black Candles (1982)

Effective Satansploitation flick starring the ever-lovely Helga Line, and directed by Jose Ramon Larraz of Vampyres (1974) fame. This film seems to be frowned upon by many, but I really enjoy the creepy trapped feeling of the plot as a girl is slowly being forced into a Satanic cult. The naughtiness is aplenty. This film is even more erotically charged than Vampyres. Helga is gorgeous here, though time is slowly sneaking up on her. She ages like fine wine. If you like occult oriented horror and don't mind some nasty bits then this may be your cup of mystical herb tea. I enjoy it very much. It gets my rating of 8 out of 10 horny devil worshippers.  >:D  I watched it on You Tube, but the DVD is on the way.  ;)

Nightmare Castle (1965) (aka The Night Of The Doomed)

Classic Eurohorror directed by Mario Caiano and starring Barbara Steele, Paul Muller, and Helga Line. Macabre gothic atmosphere, mad science, vengeful ghosts, and beautiful women... what more could any Eurohorror fan want? After seeing this film chopped up from crappy prints on PD compilations for years it's a real pleasure to finally see it fully restored with beautiful picture and clear sound on the Severin Blu-ray. It runs 104+ minutes with over 20 minutes replaced for us to enjoy. Very nice!
