This film was so ahead of its time. It set the bar for the slasher genre early on. Wes Craven was an absolute master.

Ditto.
Last House........is truly a pseudo-realistic or cinema vérité style Horror film. The film, Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham have definitely pushed
all boundries, in terms of this delightful film.
One of my top twenty favorite films.

Have you seen the movie, "Chaos"? I don't know the specifics (I have a burned copy), but it seems like a virtual remake of "Last House...". It came out a few years before the official remake and is very raw (it stars Kevin Gage from "Laid to Rest"). The reason I mention it is because it has at least one scene that was supposed to be in the original "Last House...". In the scene, the killer cuts off one of the girls' nipples and makes her eat it (very savage scene). I remember Wes Craven mentioning that in the documentary on the "L.H." DVD. He never filmed it because he knew it wouldn't make the cut.

As it has been cold, wet & raining here for most of the week with snow expected tomorrow, you would be right! ;)

The snow is expecting to hit New York tomorrow. Yikes! I am so sick of
snow. Ready for spring.

Yeah, I hear that! Still, it's not as bad as last year..tomorrow is a great day for classics on DVD/bluray. :)

The weather went all around us this winter, in this part of OH. We've hardly had 3" of snow all season! Hasn't been all that cold, either. :)

Here in southern California, we were hoping for a rainy winter.  The predicted weather fizzled out.

Too bad.  I like to watch things like "The Old Dark House" when it is pouring rain just outside my window.

"The Thing" is more fun to watch when it is particularly cold.  (Also, "Fargo".)

I guess it is a natural form of "Sense-O-Rama".

Dracula, Prisoner Of Frankenstein (1972)

Daughter Of Dracula (1972)

The Night Of The Hunted (1980)

The first two are classic Jess Franco monster rallies. Dracula, Prisoner Of Frankenstein is really very weak. And, to make matters worse I have an edited bootleg version. It's missing a couple of minutes which I suspect are nude scenes. Hokey makeup and effects detract from the film, but it's still worth a look if you're a Franco fan. The sequel, Erotic Rites Of Frankenstein, is much better. Daughter Of Dracula is pretty good. The Sinister Cinema version has all the naughty scenes intact and original Spanish language with English subs. The scenes with Britt Nichols and Anne Libert are especially beautiful. Daughter.. is a good horror movie, and also a good Franco movie.

The Night Of The Hunted is an interesting take on the zombie film by Jean Rollin. Lots of nudity and some softcore sex, and Brigitte Lahaie is an impressive sight in her birthday suit. The Redemption DVD is really nice. The one I have came in a box set of 3 movies called The Zombie Box. Love Redemption's releases.

Upon rereading this it occurs to me that it might be misconstrued that I'm mainly looking for nudity in monster movies.   Most of my favorite monster movies contain no nudity at all, having been made at a time before nudity became commonly used in the late '60s to present to make the film more marketable. That stated, I'm not a prude, and I enjoy naughtiness where appropriate, like in certain subgenres like Erotic Horror, Satansploitation, Women In Prison (WIP), and others. Anyone who just wants to see sex should just go straight to the porn which is easily seen nowadays (just a keystroke away). I like MONSTER MOVIES, and some of them do have erotic content.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...
