Hepcat

I'm training for Halloween by steadily increasing my candy consumption each day.

;)

I'm also monitoring the progress of the neighbourhood's pumpkin patch.

:D
Collecting! It's what I do!

mars- I Love that song!!  My grandson only knows the AFI version, but he sings it well! HALLO-WEEEEEN, HALLOWEEEEN- I remember Halloween!   :)
But he also told me when he was a wee lad of 4, that the Misfits version of Monster Mash is the "original".  But I set him straight with a History lesson on Bobby Boris Pickett!

Thanx! I love that song.

CreepysFan-  That is so cool!! I feel so much better knowing what the Great Pumpkin actually looks like! He dresses like Prince, but that's cool too!  :)
I have completed phase one of my building a lifesize Haunted Mansion Bride project.  I am trying to do it without spending $ and so far I'm in 49 cents for paint. I have a wig my daughter used last year for her Alice in Wonderland costume, and old clothes and a dress form.  Although I possess no artistic ability, I am pleased with the way she's coming out. I am so excited this year and I'm actually starting projects before September!! Yay!!

Haven't seen a whole lot in department stores just yet but I noticed the $1 section at Target had a few items; One of which was these~

I only bought the skeleton ones first since I really didn't know what to expect from the product, they come in a 2 pack for $1 (2 1/2" tall).  The consistency is pretty much like it says, putty and the figures inside are made of hard plastic.

Went back to Target and got the other ones, these are all $1 each.....Why is the vampire in purple!?!?  Wouldn't red make more sense?!  Anyway the petri dish is 3" and the test tube is 3 3/4".

Here's Sam playing with the eyeball~

I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch or what but the stuff in the test tube is more like "slime" though it isn't quite as slimey and is much more workable!  The other ones are more like putty/clay that you can cut up and make shapes out of!

I highly recommend this stuff to anyone with kids/grandkids or who just wants something sitting at their desk to mess around with!

zombiehorror- This is the kind of stuff we live for!  My grandson would rather play with goop, slime, gak, ooze, etc. than anything in the world. And the price is right! Gotta get some too  :) We made our own slime a few years ago for my son's 28th birthday. We made him wear a Home Depot zip-up disposable painter's jumpsuit and we slimed him good!

ok, Scatter- I will post the picture of my Haunted Mansion doll, first.
Then I'll post my homemade Halloween prop. Please remember that I am NOT an artist and I made this prop with things I had around the house.  It's so much more fun when you don't spend any $. I did buy some cheap craft paint, but that's all so far  :)   I still need to fix her arms and add a battery operated candle for her to hold.  So- doll, followed by my version (which is not an exact match), that will be outside on my porch on Halloween   :)
