Here are the two newest additions to the family...

;D "Miss Kitty" and "Puddy Tat"  ;D

As many of you know~ my wife, Andrea, not only has multiple sclerosis but also, uterine cancer. She is doing well. I have become a 1st time cat owner (actually CATS) about a month ago and have found much peace in having these wonderful little creatures around. So, I am submitting these two felines into the membership ranks of the UMA Beast Corp. They will serve well as they have already shown much value and love to me in the very short time I've had them! They fit right in and have already begun to 'take over the house' as cats like to do. Andrea enjoys having them around too! I'm trying to teach them how to watch an ENTIRE monster movie with me before heading to the food dish (they'll have to work on this!)

Best,
Richard

In keeping with the UMA theme...
Here are the cats out on patrol amongst an assortment of Jaymar monster puzzles. They are supposed to be keeping the puzzles out of enemy hands. As the blanket is white and they are mostly white, they are in a "stealth mode" and can remain hidden. Get too close and it's "MEOW" and a deadly fuzzy paw!

Richard: Is that wise to place your Puddies so close to something that resembles a fish? As for puzzles--remember that the pictures are stuck on the puzzle with rabbit skin glue and those of the feline & canine persuasion fine such things tasty.

Richard,
I am delighted that Andrea is doing well.My continued prayers and good thoughts go out to
you both.It is true that pets can relieve stress and bring a certain amount of calm to us just
by their presence.

God Bless

Dear Richard. I think your onto something here. Pet and monster collectible encounters. Hmmm .. I like it. I'm feeling inspired to pick up the camera myself and start shooting pics of my 105 lb Shepard/Lab mix chewing on a CVS stuffin. Certainly not my 1/4 scale Creech. Not for $317.00 (courtesy of Creepy Jeff  ;)

I very very much enjoyed your photos, Richard.  Miss Kitty and Puddy look like great kids--I'm glad they had the good taste to adopt you Olsons!

Andrea has my best wishes.  Thanks for the adorable cat photos.  I'm a cat fancier myself.

Thank you ALL for the nice replies to my new kitty cats!!!  :D
They were both "fixed" this week so have been too tired to "beat each other up" (I never realized how much fun cats have poking and jumping and playing with each other!)
Until both are back up to 100% energy, they have borrowed monster robots to attack each other with (saves themselves fur loss and won't pop open any stitches). They have used money out of their cat chow allowance to purchase new 'D' cell batteries for the robots and have promised not to chew on the cords.
Best,
Richard

It's official--even Richard's cats have a great collection!  lol

As I've been away for the most of the summer it's good to come back and hear your wife is doing well, and the cats look to be enjoying themselves.  I wish I could say that the casts have been so peaceful, but Halloween hasn't quick to accept her new companion.  Our new kitten is anything but peaceful, especially when it comes into the bedroom at 5 in the morning and tries to chew on your feet.

Anyway here is our newest addition to the Beast Corps, Valkyrie Walpurgisnacht Carmel Apple  (cats like big impressive names)  She was born April 28th, just before Wlapurgisnacht, so it seemed fitting and it went well with Halloween Jack-o-lantern Pumpkinsauce, so the cat names have a theme.

Gary: And what do you call this new little fur in the shorter version of said name? Valkie? Purgie? Mel? I see she is partaking of a Wal-Mart "birdie-bomb". Ralphie Scissorpaws has some of these but he's far too jaded to bother with them. His new toy is a feline tunnel made out of connecting cubes of nylon where he rolls around inside doing a fair immitation of a drunken caterpillar as he attempts to snag his tatty old Mr. Mouse tied to a long piece of rawhide thong.
