When Did You Last Watch A Classic Universal Monster Movie?

 "The Black Cat" - I never tire of this film. This is my all time favorite Universal horror film. "The Raven" (not too far behind).

Yeah "Black Friday" is great. Gangster/Sci-Fi horror mashup, but somehow it works! Can't go wrong w/Lugosi collection.

Really? The "B" horrors set? I like "Man Made Monster", but it's no Frankenstein, BoF, Invisible Man, etc.

No, we were talking about the Bela Lugosi set (Black Cat, Raven, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Invisible Ray, Black Friday). The Black Cat has been my favorite horror film (along with "Bride of..") since I was a kid. The Raven is up there as well. I really like all five films on the Bela set (some of the monster sets get a little repetitive with all the sequels IMO).

That's the original quote on top. "Black Friday" is on the Lugosi Franchise Collection, not the B-movie set (unless there's one I don't know about).

Damn, you're right! Doesn't seem to fit with the other 4 classics on that set. That's why I thought it was on the B set.

Well "Black Friday" doesn't really fit into any one category, that's why I have a fondness for it (though the other films in that set are far superior).

I guess if you needed a 5th Lugosi movie, it was the best of what was left.

Lugosi's role was so small that it's even hard to consider it his film. I guess at that point it was a small role in a Universal movie, or a big role in a tiny studio's B-movie for Bela.
