Continuing my Universal marathon - "Ghost of Frankenstein", "The Wolfman", & "Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman". Great trio of films.

Great selection. Finishing up the "modern classics."

Last night:

Dracula 1979

Mord

Thanks, Anthony, Just finished my "big three" marathon with "Bud Abbott & Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein". Now, I'm on to the Mummy films.

Mord

"The Mummy" (with Karloff the uncanny) - Great, eerie, atmospheric film with one of Karloff's very best performances.

Mord

Watched "The Mummy's Hand (good, but too much comedy relief) & "The Mummy's Tomb" (too many flashbacks from "The Mummy's Hand").

Memphremagog

The Mummy's Tomb(1942)
Night Monster(1942)...both last night.
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Mord

"The Mummy's Ghost" & "The Mummy's Hand" - almost done with the great bandaged one.

Went with Lon Chaney Jr. triple feature today:

The Wolf Man (1941)
The Mummy's Tomb (1942)
Son of Dracula (1943)

I actually like "Son" a lot and think it's underrated. I know LCJ is an unconventional choice for the Count, but this is pretty dark, straight forward horror flick.

I'm a big fan of "Son...", too. Jr. is an odd choice but he works well in this film. I know this is blasphemy, but "Son..." is more entertaining that the '31 Dracula (IMO).

Mord

"Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy" - Now I move on to...drum roll, please..."The Creature from the Black Lagoon". Life is good!

Mord

Just watched "Revenge of the Creature" (great sequel) & am about to start "The Creature Walks Among Us". I love this 30 movie box set.

In the past two days:

Abbott & Costello meet the Invisible Man 1951
Abbott & Costello meet DR. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde 1953
Abbott & Costello meet The Mummy 1955

Currently viewing The Creature from the Black Lagoon triple feature:

The Creature from the Black Lagoon 1954 (Uncle Gill-bert and I were born in the same year).
Revenge of the Creature 1955
The Creature Walks Among Us 1955

Mord

Seems like we have the same idea, Anthony. I just watched "The Invisible Man" & am about to start "The Invisible Man Returns".

Mord

Skipped to "The Invisible Man's Revenge". I am now moving on to my favorite Karloff/Lugosi films from the Bela franchise collection.

capoetc

"The Wolf Man" on glorious Blu-ray ... just now!  :-)
