Rotting Corpse

Thought this would be a fun quiz. List your single favorite installment in each of the following Horror series with three movies or more. Add more series to the list if you'd like, as long as they have at least three movies or more. Movies where it's just two entries only don't count (ie. Laid To Rest, House Of 1, 000 Corpses/The Devil's Rejects).

---

Friday The 13th
Halloween
A Nightmare On Elm Street
Saw
Scream
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Alien
Predator
Phantasm
Evil Dead
Hellraiser
Insidious
Child's Play
Final Destination
Paranormal Activity

---

IMO the best in each:

Friday The 13th - The Final Chapter
Halloween - 1978 Original
A Nightmare On Elm Street - New Nightmare
Saw - Saw II
Scream - Original
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 2003 Remake
Alien - Aliens
Predator - Predator 2
Phantasm - Phantasm II
Evil Dead - Evil Dead II
Hellraiser - Original
Insidious - Chapter 3

Some additional ones I'll throw in too with my favorite film in each:

Puppet Master - Puppet Master 4
Maniac Cop - Maniac Cop 2
Romero's Living Dead - Day Of The Dead (1985)
Return Of The Living Dead - Part II
Poltergeist - Poltergeist II
Jaws - Original
Tremors - Original
Leprechaun - Original
Blade - Unsure between 1 or 2

The Red Death 30

If your answer to a single one of these is not the first and original in the series then your answer is wrong   ;)

Let's see how many unpopular opinions I'll end up tossing out in this post  >:D (I'm only doing the series in which I've seen all the installments in order to be fair).

Friday The 13th - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Halloween - Halloween (1978)

Scream - Scream
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Romero's Living Dead - Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Tremors - Tremors
Leprechaun - Leprechaun 3
"Naughty, naughty! Don't touch, Butch knows best."

Mord

Instead of relisting every film mentioned, I'll just say that the first installment of every series mentioned is the best with the exception of the following:

          Friday The 13th Part II
          Wes Craven's New Nightmare
          Dawn of the Dead (1978)

As for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the first is the only one that I care for (it's my slasher Bible, along with the '78 Halloween).

Gory Glenn

I was going to say "No Romero Trilogy?". Didn't notice it at the bottom.  :o

Rotting Corpse

Forgot to add it before but go ahead :)

Yeah, where you been?

Rotting Corpse

Busy with life and having to take care of the bills. Hard not to miss the simple days of childhood when the only thing you were worried about was catching your favorite TV show.

Just wait till you get old. That's kind of a typical day for me.  ;D

It's already becoming one for me. Free time is getting more and more scarce. There's always time for Horror and monsters though, nothing gets in the way of that 8)

Friday The 13th - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Halloween - Halloween (1978)
A Nightmare On Elm Street - A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
Scream - Scream
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Evil Dead - Evil Dead II
Child's Play - Curse of Chucky
Puppet Master - Puppet Master
Romero's Living Dead - Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Tremors - Tremors
Leprechaun - Leprechaun 3

My list is pretty close to this one, with a couple little changes.

Evil Dead - For me I can't really pick between the first two in general.
Child's Play - I prefer the first one.
Romero's Living Dead - I agree that Dawn is probably the best one, but Day of the Dead might be my favorite anyway.

Also

Alien - The original Alien
Predator- The original Predator
Insidious - Easily the first, plain ol' Insidious
Amityville - The original, although I have a minor soft spot for the goofy second one
Jaws - Guess.
Resident Evil - None of them. I prefer the games. The ones that are actually still horror games, that is.
Saw - Only really cared for the first one.
Hellraiser - The original is both the best one and my favorite one, but I have a soft spot for DTV sequel Inferno.

Rotting Corpse

Underworld is another I remembered. Only seen the original and didn't really much like it and have been in no rush to see the rest. I think I saw parts of the second one long ago.
