Last night I went outside and heard  a pack of the children of the night in my back yard yelping, barking and howling.  What music they made.

I'm already pumped up for Halloween 2013!

Quote from: aura of foreboding on October 29, 2012, 10:08:52 PMThe only thing I really care about in regards to Halloween is that it is still accessible to kids.  As long as kids can still dress up, trick or treat, and have fun, I am okay with the rest of it.  But the focus needs to be on the kids and making the night/time of year memorable for them.  That's why we decorate the yard and dress up to hand out candy -- to make the night something they won't ever forget... just like we will never forget all of our Halloweens.  If you create a special night for the Treaters who come to your door, you ensure that Halloween will continue for many years to come.

Absolutely! I agree. Halloween is all about fun for the kids.

Thank you! Those are certainly sentiments to live by.

I am always pumped for Halloween.  I had my zombies up on the front lawn October 1st.  I'll post pics as soon as my Abbey Normal brain processes the directions Mike gave me to do such.   ::)
We have a party every year the last Saturday night before Halloween and the theme is different every year.  I dress up as Frankenstein on Halloween and go trick or treating with my girls when I'm not home handing out candy in the same outfit.  My wife won't let me answer the door if the kids are too small.   >:D I'm over 6'9" in the costume.  After it gets dark, I sit outside slumped in a chair until the older kids get close.  Then I stand up and they crap their pants.  My dog goes nuts when the doorbell rings so I intercept the trick or treaters and save my bulldog a lot of grief. ;)

The default answer my wife would give you is that I need help... generally speaking.  Lol.  But I'll let you know about the posting pics thing as soon as I try and fail.  Again. ::)

I'm always pumped for Halloween.

It's the same way every year, ever since I was a little boy. Then again, who grew up?

I did my decorating on Friday 9/22. More time to enjoy everything. I take a vacation day from work every year, as it's an all day project. Most of the stuff is on the inside of the house. Added a few new items this year., and just had my movie Monster Bash on 10/14. I love it more and more with each passing year. I have a lifetime pass on being a kid, and plan on living until at least 150-200 years old, so all is good & spooky with me.
