Charpy I saw a big display of Frankenberry and Chocula yesterday at Walgreen's of all places.

Thanks packy! There are 2 Walgreens within 5 miles of my house, so I will check them both   :) Woohoo!!!  They also sell milk at Walgreens, which I will need to complete my feast, so things are looking up for me!

Right on! You could probably get a plastic bowl and spoon and sit right down in the aisle! Good luck!

CreepysFan-  That is so cool!! I feel so much better knowing what the Great Pumpkin actually looks like! He dresses like Prince, but that's cool too!  :)
I have completed phase one of my building a lifesize Haunted Mansion Bride project.  I am trying to do it without spending $ and so far I'm in 49 cents for paint. I have a wig my daughter used last year for her Alice in Wonderland costume, and old clothes and a dress form.  Although I possess no artistic ability, I am pleased with the way she's coming out. I am so excited this year and I'm actually starting projects before September!! Yay!!

GEEZ, Charlotte... That is OUTSTANDING!!!! 8)

I'm waiting patiently for my Chocula to show up!  If anyone sees any in the store, please post a detailed report  :)   I will drive to another state to get my first bowl of the precious! I love Count Chocula more than Thanksgiving turkey!

Waiting patiently for my sweet scruncious FRANKENBERRY to show up at Target again this year.  Last year I bought 13 boxes so I could enjoy it awhile.

I'm still totally pumped-up for Hallowe'en. I went in to Walmart again, and it seems the Hallowe'en aisles are very condensed this year. I will have to check out Target. Hopefully, Target reigns surpreme in the Halowe'en department?

mars- I noticed the same trend. I went to Walmart last night to buy an Exacto knife and a Star Wars Lego dvd, and I wandered over to the scant 2 aisles of Halloween stuff. There were very few costumes and accessories. Most of the aisle was filled with plastic pumpkin pails and TOT bags- FRAIL!  I have been to 3 different Targets in the last 2 weeks and I LOVE the signage they have hanging from the ceiling! It's really charming- silhouettes of trees and owls!  I bought a Star Wars costume for my grandson and some light up jack o'lanterns and some party invitations. My husband threw in some of those eyes that light up in your shrubs and of course.......candy. He always acts like it's only fresh when you get it in September- sheesh! I think the store keeps it at a proper temp. so it stays fresh throughout the season, but I just let him get what he wants- hahahaha!!  {^...^}

It's still early though. I won't panic at the paltry selection for a couple of weeks yet.

EEEEK! Tomorrow is October 1st!!!!  I need to get back in the game! My prop making has come to a grinding halt and I need a jump-start!  :)

I hear ya, Char - I should'ave started on my giant plywood monsters by now!  But, seeing as how I don't have a jigsaw, sander or paint sprayer, not to mention PLYWOOD, there's a good chance it won't happen!  Drat!

charp13

oooooh! That's a lot of tools!  I hate carrying plywood! There's no good way to grab it. We live about 5 miles from a Home Depot, but I would love to have plywood delivered to my house.......ahhhh what a daydream! That's probably how millionaires get their plywood  :)
Well I don't have any wooden projects, but I had imagined that I would have done more prop work by now. What happened to September? It always betrays me!

Two more Halloween stores have opened in Vegas. Whoop!
