Love the Batman T-shirts.
This IS  a great thread! Lots of awesome old photos.

Here's one of me and my little sister in the back yard from the '60's. Check out my Superman slippers...

Holy crap!! I'd wear those slippers NOW if they came in my size!! Great pic!

I thought I'd post my favorite picture of my dad, it's from 1951...

And my second favorite picture of my dad twenty years later in 1971 reading my comic which I still have. He never read comics so when he picked it up to look at it I had to take a picture. He used to drive me to the corner store and wait in the car while I ran in and bought a stack of comic books.

Monolith those photos of your Dad are awesome, my dad thought comics were a waste of money and time.  If not for Mom I wouldn't have had any.

Bud, looks like your ready to take on the zoo animals one by one.

Monolith- I can't believe how many fantastic photos you have! Your family is very photogenic and you are the awesome to share these with us.   :)   There was a 3 year period in my childhood where I acted like an idiot in every photo and my mouth is in a screaming position or my tongue is hanging out. I really regret this now, as I see that normal 60s kids were cute and acted natural in photos. The pictures of your Father are so cool!!    bigbud- I'm thinking that you also may have had a "mug for the camera" period in your childhood.  I love your facial expressions!  You seem like you were quite the character back in the day.  I'll have to dig up my zoo pictures because I may have one where I'm making a similar face.  haha-  kooky kids    :)

Here is a pic of me being packed up for shipping, apparently lured in place by a chocolate bar

Here is the infamous Pufnstuf outfit. (yellow shirt / brown pants)

Your brother's pose and outfit remended me of Jack Black in Nacho Libre when he was trying to look cool to impress a girl.

In fact.....where you at........I'm puckerin' right now! Back in the day! I'll show ya back in the day! I'm a hunka-hunka burnin' monster!     Love, Buddy

Every once in a while, my dad will give me a shopping bag full of old photos. It seems he and mom would get pictures developed, and just toss them in bags to be put in albums at a later date. Ever since she got sick this will never happen. I sort the photos by family (me and my two brothers) and distribute them. The cool thing is when I find old photos like this one. My mom has been in a nursing home for over ten years now. She suffered several strokes, and can't recall what she had for breakfast but can recall things from her youth. She always told me she had a pony named Toney, and I found a photo of her riding him! She was 14 in this photo:
