Three Weird-Ohs frame tray puzzles from an auction last month. I've seen many boxed puzzles from this series, but never frame trays.

Cool! I didn't know those frame puzzles existed either.

Were they released together with these regular Weird-Oh puzzles in 1963 by the E.E. Fairchild Corp or were they released later?

???

The frame trays are also 1963.

Here's the bigger picture of the Huey's Hut Rod promo poster that you previously posted which I've managed to unobscure:

Mmmmmm, I love those Weird-Ohs binders! I'm not sure how many different ones SPP released though or whether they were all released at the same time.

Quote from: RPM on January 29, 2020, 08:54:31 AMHere is a page from an SPP catalog featuring the Weird-Ohs binders.

I'm presuming that was the 1964 SPP catalog because that's the date found on the binders. Here's another page from an SPP catalogue picturing binders:

But I'm still not sure whether we've unraveled all the salient details behind SPP's Weird-Ohs binder releases. It seems though that the Digger, Daddy, Davey and Freddy Flameout binders listed in the above catalogue were available in green, red, yellow and black. Here are the pictures I've managed to find:

The Davey binder above has resided in Monolith's collection since he was a kid in the sixties.

SPP released at least two more Weird-Ohs binders not shown in the above catalogue.

The yellow binder above is from RPM's collection.

So I count at least six different binders. Each was perhaps available in four different colours. Plus this unconfirmed report of a "teal" binder:

Here's what appears to be a printer's proof of a sheet for an SPP sales brochure indicating that SPP also produced a Weird-Ohs pencil case:

Since I've never seen even a picture of this Weird-Ohs pencil case, I'd venture to say that it's an item that could legitimately be termed "scarce".
