Oh man! That pencil case is fabulous (despite Endsville Eddie's name reversal)!

And not just rarely found but brand new too according to the seller's description! Which is why it's not at all surprising that it fetched $558.55 when two determined Weird-Oh collectors both put in snipe bids in the last ten seconds.

Interesting though that the auction didn't come up for me yesterday when I did Google searches for both "SPP pencil case" and "Weird-Ohs pencil case". I'll have to make sure that I do searches on Ebay specifically in future.

I just recently got a nice condition copy of the Weird-Oh's/Silly Surfers record and it came with the original inner sleeve...

Nutty Heads & Weird-Oops?
Kinda weird-
http://thriller.cart.fc2.com/ca5/40/p-r-s/

the Army type guys are a bit of a cross between the British Nutty Mad set
(Spoofing Caricatures) & the Parks' Born Losers !

Sorry to necro-bump this specific post, but is South Factory/Thriller still around in any form? I'd love to buy some of their work.

No reason to be sorry. We encourage, even demand, such behaviour on this board.

The re-issues of the Hawk Weird-Ohs and Silly Surfers have been available in various configurations of Gift Set Bundles since 2016:

I picked up a couple of Weird-Oh-type erasers on eBay. They're likely by Diener, I can just make out "NCEPTS" on the base of one. Does anyone recognize these and know the name of the line?

Hepcat

I've never seen those and know nothing about them. Can somebody check whether Diener erasers or Marx Nutty Mads have the "NCEPTS" lettering on the base?

I mention the partial marking on the bottom - NCEPTS - because it's evidence that these may have been stamped Diener Concepts originally. I've never seen any Marx Nutty Mads with either of those words on the base.

Here's a Hawk Frantic Banana nicely completed by our own Rockshasa:

Very cool!

Tim Nolan is an incredibly talented painter. I wish he'd come around more often. He hasn't posted here since January 2020.

Here you go, Hepcat. These are all of the photos I took when I finished this model. This was one of the last models that I painted before I took a long break. Completely painted with Testor's now defunct Model Master Enamels.

The LPs are a really nice touch. How did you do those?

I found all of the album covers on Google Images. Dragged them all into Photoshop. Cropped and resized them all to the same size. Made sure I had them scaled to the size of the model. Pasted them all into one Photoshop document. Printed them on an 8.5"x11" page on an inkjet printer. Flipped the paper over and sprayed it with 77 Adhesive Spray, then glued it to a piece of 8.5"x11" card stock. Smoothed it out and sliced it up with an X-acto. Then Elmer's glued various records together for the display.

The records, soda bottles, maracas, metronome, character and bongos, are all LOOSE. None of them are glued down. I have done that on certain kits as it allows me to change the way I display them. The only thing glued down here is the radio.
