Both DRACULA and STRANGE CASE both look improved and sound great! FRANKENSTEIN is about the same as it was on dvd, however, it  was good to begin with. The commentaries were informative and made the upgrade all the better.
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Received the Dan Curtis Classic Monsters BD set today.

Of these three movies I only had Dracula and it's on DVD, so this is a great upgrade in my situation. Looking forward to checking out the films and bonus features. I don't think I've ever even seen the two besides Dracula.

Great release from Vinegar Syndrome featuring two editions of the film:

The Continental release, long missing, with Hazel Court's nude scenes intact as well as the restored scenes cut from the film for many years such as Anton Differing's disintegration at the film's climax. Informative commentary by Stephen Jones and Kim Newman on the film as well as a documentary on Terrence Fisher. Two discs one in 4K the other in regular Blu-ray.

Watched this last night and was very pleased all around.

I'd like to get that, but it's so expensive, considering its place on my Hammer movies list (it's no Horror of Dracula).

Did you get the most expensive one, or the slightly less expensive one?

I know, but the prices I was looking at, it was only about $8.00 less. Anyway, I'm not buying it tomorrow.

Great score Double H. Please let us know how the other two films look. I have the Curtis' Dracula blu-ray but will purchase this combo set if the quality is good on the other two films. Im reading mixed reviews on Amazon. So ill wait to hear from you. Thanks, GB

I recommend the release. All three films look and sound about as good as we'll probably ever see. The commentaries are a nice bonus. If you only have the Drac (like I did) then it's a good purchase at just over 20 bucks. I bought mine from this eBay seller because I didn't find anything else on Amazon I wanted right now to qualify for the free shipping:

Oh, that's out! I'll have to add it to my collection.

Edit:

It's a BD-R, from Malaysia.

It's also a Netflix movie. I don't think they release physical media. I never did get a "Buster Scruggs" Blu-ray.

The price was right for $20.00 and it plays perfectly. The movie was fantastic. Great cast and call backs to previous Frankenstein entries such as CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN and FRANKENSTEIN: THE TRUE STORY. Shame Netflix decided to bury it rather than a full theatrical release.
