We can thank Sam Sherman for that.  ::)

It was really called The Mark of the Wolfman.

Got mine today.

I don't have a 3D TV, so I checked out the anaglyphic version with the glasses. It's a little wonky but fun. Makes it look like it's in B&W. Reminds me of 3D comics and mags from the '60s. Kino did a good job with the packaging and extras.

Hold onto your Shriek Show DVD for the Special Features including the Sam Sherman commentary. Sherman gets criticized for some of his decisions back in the day but his commentaries (especially the Blood Island films) are fun and very informative. They give us a look at drive-in/grindhouse Horror back in the '60s/'70s and the ballyhoo involved in peddling these films which are dear to many of us.

I have the dvd, but I'll probably get this too. Cool to think of watching it with those glasses, lol.

After pouring over the new Kino BD and the Shriek Show DVD I prefer the version on the DVD if you are going to watch the flat 2D version. The 3D cut is only 78 minutes and has a weird opening with a few quick scenes before it goes into Sherman's animated Frankenstein/Wolfstein bit. The version on the DVD is 91 minutes and provides more story and character development to make a better presentation in my opinion. It even seems like the picture quality is better on the DVD than the flat 78 minute version on the BD. Also, the DVD has more deleted scenes as well as the Sherman commentary and a Naschy interview. I don't have a 3D TV so I watched the anaglyphic 3D version with the glasses which is fun but problematic. Maybe it's a superior experience watching the 3D version on a 3D TV, but aside from a curiosity I'd rather watch the flat version on the DVD. At only $20 the BD is a must-have for Naschy fans with the different cut and two commentaries, but keep your DVD.

I wish some company would release the film in its original form as La Marca del Hombre Lobo in Spanish with English subtitles. That way we could finally see the whole thing intact. Naschy fans would buy it. Severin, Vinegar Syndrome, Synapse, Kino, somebody get on that.

While it is not a official company issued blu ray, it is the intact Spanish release of MARK OF THE WOLF MAN at 94 minutes, complete with English subtitles..I just got through watching it and it is a beauty after all the years of the FRANKENSTEIN BLOODY TERROR copies and edited releases. Gray market dealer on Ebay has it and it was worth the watch, even has some extras such as foreign trailers for the film..picture quality is wonderful for blu ray.

I appreciate the heads-up we got from Memph but that seller is gougy. Counting $25 + $7 sh + tax you're looking at $35 for a gray market BD with very limited special features. I just hate to deal with people who overcharge like that.

Picked up that restored silent version of "The Bat". Should be a vast improvement over my Alpha DVD.  ;D
