One of the worst movies of all time-- a personal favorite.
Best line, Dracula in his ominous voice as a passenger in a car is going on about his plans of world domination, then interrupts and says "Turn left here".

Amazingly bad.   Chaney Jr and J Carrol Naish (Dr Daka in Batman '43 and Charlie Chan on TV) plus a Forrey Ackerman cameo.

Two words- Al Adamson.

That about covers it.  :D

It's the movie he'll always be best remembered for, just like Ed Wood has Plan 9 From Outer Space. :D
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Some Dracula vs Frankenstein pics:

John Bloom, Sam Sherman, Roger Engel and Al Adamson behind the scenes..

Engel and Shelley Weiss(standing in for Bloom, who couldnt make it to the location) outside the New York church from the film's climax.

John Bloom and Regina Carroll in the film's most famous publicity pic

Great artwork from the motion picture soundtrack

Do you know if Gray Morrow did this artwork? He did Independent-International poster art, and I believe Bob Lebar used Morrow's art in his little Wolfstein intro Sam Sherman cooked up for Frankenstein's Bloody Terror.

Thanks.

I couldn't tell if those wiggly lines were initials or something else.

Is there an info source that lists the art credits for movie posters?

Not as such, I don't think. You can google people's names and get lists of their work, but no alphabetical list of movie titles, that I know of. "Learn About Movie Posters" probably some info.

He did this one sheet for the film:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

ALL NEW!
ALL COLOR!

So, we made the poster in black and white, just to confuse people.

Just discovered Sam Sherman died recently at 85.

His movies were low quality but big fun. Perfect drive-in fare. Because of when they were made and shown they've attained high status among Monster Kids. His commentaries on those DVDs are very enjoyable and informative. His work made a lot of monster fans happy!

Not just his horror films, his biker and blaxploitation films were all great grindhouse fare! he will be missed.

Since it's the Halloween season, I may dig out my DVD and watch this again.  Who else is watching this during Halloween?

AndyFish

I've got the Blu Ray lined up for next week.

horrorhunter

Yep. I'll watch it again for Halloween-time.

Poor Lon. Avoid the alcohol folks.
