"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Monsters For Sale

Midway, 2019 - Everyone knows this story.

Unnecessary retelling.  I was so bored I had trouble staying awake.  The film needed some dramatic changes in tempo and setting to break it up.  The CGI effects were so overwhelming that I felt like I was watching a cartoon.  Too many camera angles that would be impossible in real life - makes the whole thing look unreal to me.

Not a fan of war movies, anyway.  This one was loaned to me by my friend's husband.

At least I can tell him I watched it.  (I'm lousy at pretending to like something I don't - so I never try.)

Well I'm certainly glad you didn't give away any spoilers, like who won. :P

Love all their movies! Especially "Best  in Show".

Oh yea, Best in Show is great. We went to a screening of Best in Show a few years ago, followed by a Q & A with Fred Willard. But I like all those films too: Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, For Your Consideration . . .

TCM will be airing Lucio Fulci's "The New Gladiators" (1983) tonight (3/27/20). Is anyone here familiar with this film? It it worth a viewing? It does have nudity (according to the rating).

Lunkenstein

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD (2019) - really loved this film!  Kept me glued and entertained throughout.

Mister Roberts, 1955  -  I would like to see this one get a thorough restoring and BLU-Ray or 4k issue.

I always love the idea that Ensign Pulver has been serving on the small ship for so long and the Captain has never seen him.

Brilliant film! It's  probably my 2nd favorite Tarantino movie (behind "Pulp Fiction"). As usual, great soundtrack.

Throw in "Jackie Brown" for my top 3, though I don't know what order.
