As a kid E.C comics were quite famous and rare,
I remember my friends asking me as a dare,
Rotten zombies or the odd axe split head,
Nothing beat the return of the living dead,
Gone are the greats of that art but not my childish stare.

Take a gentleman's torso freshly dug up, pluck the eyes from a beggar down on his luck.
Steal the legs of a soldier cut down in his youth, snatch the arms of a thief from the hangman's noose.
Find the corpse of a genius and lop off it's head (If there's none at the morgue use a madman's instead).
Carve the heart from a peasant, cut the lungs from a lad, then pickle them quickly before they turn bad.
Make a stich here, screw some bolts there. Use lightening sucked from the cold midnight air.
Now behold your creation with spirited pride, and scream out aloud "IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE!!"
