Fester

If they promise to blow up the whole planet--except for John Cusack and Amanda Peet, maybe they can get Roland Emmerich.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting the actors will not wear monster makeup in the series.

I don't like this.

It doesn't say they won't be wearing makeup persay, Eddie does turn into a werewolf at some point!  Sounds more like it just won't be the traditional "Munsters" look from the original or the reboot tv show or 90's movies; That being said.....What is the point without the Munsters makeup?  Looking different was kind of The Munsters thing?  They didn't blend into their environment, they stuck out like a sore thumb and it was kind of the whole point of having Marilyn's "ugliness" around!  Her character will be completely useless if that is the case!?  It is looking like this will go the Wonder Woman route, at some point we'll all be able to watch the pilot episode on the net but that is about it.

Variety and Digital Spy are reporting the filming for the pilot has been delayed until summer.

"Sources say the network felt "Mockingbird" needed more time to fine-tune key elements on what NBC sees as a major priority. Rather than rush against the deadline of the start of lensing, the decision to push the project back to midseason consideration was reached Thursday afternoon."

I think they are realizing what a clusterf*ck this has become!!

TV Guide is reporting that they WILL sparkle, however.

It's NBC/Uni. They still think the rebranding of "Syfy" was a genius move. These people still can't figure out why "Land of the Lost" with Will Ferrell was a steaming dinoturd! They probably just couldn't get the right bunch of brooding, sparkly, talentless hacks to cast in this cathode-ray atrocity.

I'm sure Will Ferill would be willing to play Herman, and who better to replace the aged theme song then Randy Newman?
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

FACTO2

So the Munsters gets turned into a drama and Dark Shadows gets turned into a comedy. When did this turn into Bizarro World?

Knowing NBC/Uni, they'd cast Will Ferrell as Herman, then blame Eddie Izzard when the show tanks!

Universal Steve

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. First a drama now no makeup. Why call it the Munsters? I can't believe someone gets paid to come up with this crap. Hey NBC, I have an idea for a hit show. How about a family that has a refrigerator that when you open the door the a light goes on. But does it go off when they close the door. Watch the zany antics as the family trys to solve this mystery. One more thing, if I see this idea come up on a tv show now, I will sue for plagerisuim. You are all my witnesses.
