Dang, Steve - I wish YOU were in charge of tv programming!  ;D

I think it's marvelous that NBC/Universal hires the mentally challenged, even at the executive level. The rebranding of the Sci-Fi Channel as Syfy was the result of a dyslexic marketing exec, ya know!

We'd be there already, but the Y2K bug got my T.A.R.D.I.S.!

Eddie Izzard [whoever THAT is] as Grandpa? I guess Richard Simmons had other commitments? Yeah, this has SUCK written all over it.

Now I have faith in the geniuses at NBC/Universal to create a work that will stand the test of time and be even better than the original...than the original Munsters....HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHH!!!

Sorry, couldn't say that with a straight face.

I hate the idea behind the reboot of The Munsters AKA Mockingbird Lane (I wrote a blog post about it here:http://www.ormsbycinemainsane.blogspot.com/2012/03/where-are-monsters.html).  I just pray it gets on the air, fails, and is off before it leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Great blog post, Ormsby!  I enjoy GRIMM, but it bugs me for just the reasons you stated - plus, the cops are terrible investigators!

I agree with you Omsby.  Why do the monsters have to blend in?  Consider how popular Halloween has become, where people go out of their way to stand out?  If you want a strange family that tends to blend in, you don't have "The Munsters", you have the creators previous series "Leave it to Beaver".  Maybe they could reboot that instead, and have the youngest son become a were-beaver when the moon is full.

So if the critics are kind to the reboot, it most likely will be a charity case. :P

Some new news regarding the pilot is now online and not all of it is bad.  Concept art has been posted of the house's exterior, which looks good.  Other concept art depicts Lily and Grandpa's look.  Lily looks pretty good and it appears she'll wear different outfits.  The pilot starts shooting in June.

Bryan Fuller says the show will be an "American Harry Potter".  It will be edgier than the original but will be a series for the whole family to watch.  He also wants more monsters in it.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. First a drama now no makeup. Why call it the Munsters? I can't believe someone gets paid to come up with this crap. Hey NBC, I have an idea for a hit show. How about a family that has a refrigerator that when you open the door the a light goes on. But does it go off when they close the door. Watch the zany antics as the family trys to solve this mystery. One more thing, if I see this idea come up on a tv show now, I will sue for plagerisuim. You are all my witnesses.

i wondered the same thing about Inglorious Bastards,,, it was SOOO far from being like the original to even be called a re-make.. why bother giving it the same name? dont get it.
