To start of I couldn't be more blue collar.  I am a Union Sheet Metal Worker, since serving my 10,000 hour apprenticeship I have been employed by the same contractor for the last 16 years.  I am currently our shop Super-Intendant, and hold a part time job with my Local.  I also work for a friend who has a refinishing business.  Hopefully I can manage to dodge this louzy economy, I'll keep my fingers crossed.  I have watched my brother deal with loosing his job at Chrysler.  They closed his plant and moved it to Mexico, after they received BAILOUT money?  I don't get it!  My entire family has all worked in the UAW in some capacity all the way from line worker to skilled trades to high ranking union official, it always provided a good living for our family when I was young and took good care of my mom and dad once retired.  Sadly to say that looks to be a thing of the past.  Anyone who is out of work, I wish you and your family the best and lets hope this turns around soon.

Sadly, Monsterholic, that's the same problem here in Michigan.  I'm seen bumper sticker that say, "Out of work yet?  Keep buying foreign cars and you will be."  All of the cars are foreign nowadays.

Not quite all of them yet, but we are well on our way.  I don't know of any other job in this country that provides as many jobs as the car industry did.  I have always purchased American made cars and I always will.  Yes it does limit your choices, but the argument about foreign cars lasting longer, I don't buy that statement.
Friends still say American made cars have a certain percentage of imported parts.  This is true, but you cannot dispute the fact of the labor that assembled those cars is from this country.  That is money that stays in this country, pays taxes and spends money at our grocery stores.  Every has to make a living and I can't fault them for that, but I wish people had been more aware of this.
Well thats enough of that talk.  I'm surely not gonna fix these problems today.
Happy monster collecting to all.

Glad I saw you here Gillman-fan.  I  put on my Vincent Price transfers today.  Very cool and great instructions.  I have got to pick up a shirt for the wife for her bride transfer.  Quality product, much appreciated.

I run an attraction in Salem MA (Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery). This is a horror tribute museum which turns into a haunted house in October. You'd be surprised how many young people have no idea who Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Sr or Jr. or any of the others. They know SAW and that's it. I give them a brief and unforgettable schooling to the best of my ability. It's more of a fun hobby than a business though.
