OK... I think this worked.  The best thing about these costumes was the price.  Less than $100 spent on all 3 combined.  We went and scared my buddy's mother-in-law on Halloween like this.  She dresses up as a witch and had kiddies come in for cider and cookies and ghost stories (cool lady) and we went in disguise to scare everybody.  Dracula is about 6'2", the Wolfman 6'3" and I'm just under 6'5" as Frank.  The kids were diving out windows. ;D

I love the fancy living room background! 3 monsters hanging out and enjoying "life".  Awesome costumes and a great story as well  :)

Wolf Man

I love ensemble photos like that.  Your own version of the Monster Squad and better looking.  Good job.  What is better than a great costume on Halloween?  Three great costumes on Halloween.
Even a man who is pure at heart......

Scatter and Wolf Man and Charp and Creeper, thanks for being so kind.  The werewolf mask cost me $45 about 30 years ago in Disney World.  That was about 1/2 the budget for the 3 costumes, total.  The Dracula cape cost about $19 and everything else was nickels and dimes.  The Frankenstein mask was a $8 mask called a 'mini Frankenstein' or something like that.  I see a werewolf and vampire mini still on E-Bay------but not the Frank anymore.  I cut the face out to make a 'hood' and added craft hair to the top of the head only, leaving the sides and back of the head 'shaven'.  It made for a radical look.  I matched creme makeup to the green mask and I could eat and drink and see perfectly.  We had a lot of fun.

Now begins the precipitous decline in quality for my costumes  ;D...

This is the 3-Headed Abe Lincoln.  This cost $30 total.  $5 for a black jacket, maybe $10 for material to sew in to the jacket to make it fit all 3 of us.  The rest on cheap wigs and big ears and material for the hats.

We went to 2 parties and came home with about $700.00 in prizes.  It's NOT a great looking costume... but it was a great WORKING costume.  The sight of 1 Abe holding a cigarette while another lit it------and the 3rd taking a drag and then smoke blowing out of all 3 noses spiced up the atmosphere.  One Abe held the beer bottle, another opened it and fed it to the 3rd Abe.  Anything we did drew a crowd.  We probably drank 100 beers in the 2 nights and didn't pay for a single one.  We bought back to be courteous----but there was still one guy who we couldn't win over.... a giant can of Coors Light.  We actually got into a physical altercation with him on the dance floor the 2nd night, knocked him to the ground and they threw HIM out.  I wish I had video of THAT.

BTW, I am the fool in the middle. ;D

I really believe getting 'into' character and BEING my costume.

We terrorized our college campus for several years as rather naughty Super Heroes.  The 2nd year, there were 18 of us, much to the ruin of campus security who set up blockades so we could not enter the dormitories and pillage them.  Naturally, we crashed through all feeble attempts, literally.....

Here I am flying off of a trampoline past the NYC skyline mural, WELL overshooting the padding that was to break my fall.

Here I am with the homeliest Wonder Woman ever.

And here's a group shot.  The costumes are all homemade from old sweats, felt, tape and cardboard mostly.  We were college kids who had no money.  The Flash's head was SO big, his head piece ripped.  We decided to leave it like that because it would be funnier.  There is also a Bud Man in the back row.  I'm not sure if he was Marvel or DC..... ;)

Can anyone name 'em all?

These pictures make me so happy! If only everyone could have this much fun, even for one day! We are pretty nutty around my crib, but a three headed Abe is better than anything I've ever seen   :)

You, know... we did have fun.  We still like to bring this stuff up at gatherings and the old stories get rehashed about those nights.  Like Willie Wonka so eloquently said of 'a little nonsense now and then'.... well, you know the words.

Sean - Great, great stuff. This is the best of Halloween. No destruction, no damage, just crazy fun. Onee GHalloween i got together with some friends who sang and played musical instruments (mine was the banjo) and we went through neighborhoods playing and singing and making complete asses out of ourselves, and loving every minute of it. People invited us into parties, others tried to feed us or at least give us treats.
Somewhere I've got pictures...somewhere...
Ah, good times...

You got it, Chris... silliness, yes.  No one really got hurt.  We had fun and created memories with no regrets.  Your 'traveling band' sounds awesome... and on a night when people are in the mood to receive 'guests' and give them a treat, I'm sure YOUR crew gave THOSE people a treat.  I bet there are people from that night who don't know you that still remember you and talk about you fondly.  GREAT story and please find PICS!!!!!  ;D

Sean

UP & Scatter, thanks for the kind words, as always.
