I sure love this kind of stuff. Does anyone have this item? If I recall correctly, didn't this Monster Ghost fetch around $10,000.00 on eBay? Am I outta of mind, or did this actually happen? There ought a be a law against such things! It's a balloon man, a white balloon!

If somebody paid 10K for that, they're the one who's ought of their mind! (Or so filthy stinkin' rich they blow their nose with $100 bills!)

I think there was a guy that was trying to sell one on Ebay with some ridiculously high opening bid, although I'm not sure it was that high.  I don't think he had any takers.  At least I hoped not.

I was thinking that, too, but I cleaned it up.

Yup, I remember the guy making all sorts of claims and having a ridiculously high Buy It Now price- it may have been $10k. And nope, it didn't sell. Not sure exactly what he was thinking.

I was pissed when I paid a buck for one, way back when!

Toy Ranch

Yeah, it's cool... but...  lol!

Roback

That'd be cool to own but definitely not for that price. Brings back a ton of memories though.

I felt ripped off everytime I opened a package from one of those Monster comic book ads!  You'd would have thought it would have taught me a lesson or something. Yet here I still sit. Sending money to strangers for monster crap:-\

Gasport

Captain Company STILL owes me an Aurora long box Hunchback model that i ordered from Famous Monsters back in 1965  ... I don't want to sound pessimistic, but sometimes i think i may NEVER get it!  Do you think they realize i've moved a few times since then??

The Phantom Creep

The short film FLIP represented this Monster Ghost very well along with the realities of ordering other stuff from the monster mags back then. If you haven't seen FLIP, I highly recommend it.

I think the guy wanted $20,000, not $10,000.  He never sold it.  He was trying to sell half-baked reproductions of Captain Company-type items, then wondering why nobody was buying.

But wait .. there's more! What about this guy? Anyone know what this thing really was? A toy? A piece of paper? Flimsy plastic poster? Another balloon maybe?

Latex (along with the bouncing and wobbling) certainly suggests a balloon. Not too many latex toys or posters.

This hobby needs more balloon monsters! Bring back the balloon monsters please. And not at Sideshow prices either.
