Your beast looks GREAT!  I'm a late comer to the cat appreciation thing, but I now get it!  My kitty is up to 9 lbs. 12 oz.

When my older son rescued her---I wanted to name her Ligeia. He said: "No dad---no creepy monster movie names. She's cute not scary." Bummer. Here is our older cat. Now weighing in at 35 lbs despite a restricted diet. He is as lazy as they come. Name is Sylvester. He was a rescue cat as well. For size comparison...here he is sacked out watching re-runs of the Walking Dead with my younger kid. Cat is huge.

Anton- Your big ol' kitty makes my cat look like Twiggy! Wow- what a beautiful coat! Your son has a real live Pillow Pet  :)  I love the picture of the two of them hanging out like brothers. They are both adorable!

Ok, I know you heard my high pitched squeal!! :)  :)
Sweet Babies! Those are some pretty pictures! I love the way your doggie is looking off into the distance while holding his/her furry buddy so closely. These two pals should be on greeting cards! They are just so awesome!

Hahahaha! I told him what you said about his having a pillow pet and he got a big sheepish grin.

Beautiful kitty Anton, but you need to cut back on the radiation.  His right eye in the first photo appears to be glowing.

Most cats and dogs living in the same house get along quite well with each other.

I had a Sheltie who would find stray cats and bring them home .. I would walk him and our Maine Coon would follow as would a beat up tom that we called Buster.  Buster was very friendly and someone a few blocks away, took him in and cleaned him up .. he would still come by from time to time to visit.

When the Sheltie died, Buster would come by and wait for him to come out for a walk, it was very sad and we realized that Buster was attached to our dog and not our Maine Coon cat.

Here's an unnatural pet story-

I have three (two now  :( ) cats, all brothers. Two of them love to hunt all night long & have earned the nicknames of dahmer & gacy
from the neighbors at my condo.
The little cat, Greens, has no taste for hunting & once snuck a little mouse into our house as his pet.

The mouse lived under the kitchen kitchen cabinets and would come out once my wife & I were asleep to play with Greens...
When we (finally) found out about it we put the mouse outside,
Greens ran out, picked him up & brought him back in....

We felt knda bad not letting Greens keep his pet &
surprisingly the two big cats didn't bother this little mouse.

No pics of the mouse, but here's Mr. Greens-

Here's my two, at play.

Bella (at left) is just 6 months old. Ignatz is going to be 12 years old this coming Sept.
Had a little scare last night with Bella, to cut to the chase and to spare you the gory details, she miscarried. We didn't even know she was pregnant, and Ignatz is neutered. It was so tiny, it had to have terminated early in the pregnancy. For whatever reason, her body only expelled it last night. She was running around scared and confused, I thought she was dying, and my 81-year-old mother was clueless (because she won't wear her hearing aids). Took her to the 24-hour vet clinic, where they attempted to see if there were others inside her, but she was too squirmy and they didn't want to sedate her. They gave her an antibiotic shot, and she expelled the placenta in the pet carrier on the way home. I called her regular vet this morning, they said to just let her rest today and bring her in tomorrow. I'm noticing Ignatz is giving her a wide berth today, so he knows something happened.

Street Worm- Mr. Greens is the Errol Flynn of cats! He is a handsome devil- and those whiskers!  Very healthy looking kitty!  :)
Count Z.- wow...I would have freaked out so badly that the cat would have had to call an ambulance for me! What an unexpected emergency! Sheesh!
I am certain Bella won't remember any of this in a few weeks, but I can only hope that you and your Mom are feeling calmer. I can't believe all that happened to a 6 month old cat. Poor little thing  :(

Let us know how everything goes with Bella.

Thursday morning, Bella expelled 2 more tiny, stillborn kittens. I rushed her to the vet. They kept her overnight, worried her uterus might be infected, so they could spay her Friday. The vet's aide said she'd never heard anything like this in all of her years working with animals. Bella expelled another dead kitten overnight at the vet's, for a total of 5*. They spayed her early Friday afternoon and kept her overnight for observation. I'll pick her up Saturday at 11am.
* What I thought was the placenta Tuesday night was actually another fetus. It was so malformed I couldn't really tell the difference, but I now realize what I thought was a remnant of umbilical cord was a tiny tail.
