Never tried haggis, would like to know what poor man's pizza is, and we do not eat the meat that scrapple is made from    :)  TPBM- Eats way too much candy for an adult

long live kong

Its a local term for cheese-on-toast!

Nope never been a big fan of candy....

I did like to eat Haggis when I used to eat meat, used to eat it when visiting relatives in Scotland. It was more the novelty I enjoyed rather than the taste. Prefere Scotch Pies.

Tpbm loves to make Fish Pie....Salmon pieces, smoked Haddock and King Prawns in Parsley sauce with a dash of white wine, topped with mashed Potato and cheese and baked in the oven....close your eyes and think of the ocean!!

Well OG, rather than PM you I'll post it here in case anyone else fancies it....

In a buttered baking tray, place some generous chunks of skinned Salmon, smoked Haddock and King Prawns and cover with foil and bake for 5-10 mins in a pre-heated oven to give the fish a head start, then add a suitable white sauce such as Parsley sauce and a dash of white wine (optional) and seasoning, then place mashed Potato in a 'rustic' fashion on top so it is fluffy and sprinkle with your favourite cheese and bake for 30 mins. Simple. You can mix and match other types of fish such as trout and any white fish and add vegetables such as peas and Broccolli.
