Ok, I'm scared to respond, I have never seen the cartoon. My husband watches it for hours on end and takes a lot of flack for it. I saw the movie without knowing anything about it and I thought it was a beautiful movie. It got horrible reviews, but I was impressed by the little boy (Aang) and I love Cliff Curtis and the music was dreamy.               TPBM- Has great taste in movies and in ice cream flavors
