Yeah I think I read that he's really into it it, which is great!!

I don't have those figures, but I have the ALIVE!! 1975 Stage set which is pretty cool...and a Mego which I love.

Anyway back to your boy...not sure if you guys have it yet, but if you pick up KISSOLOGY Vol. 2--it comes with the re-release of KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park, now called "Attack Of The Phantoms" when I was about 10...I watched that movie so much I literally wore out the vhs tape.

It is corny by all standards, but a 9 year old KISS fan will be in heaven!! Plenty of "action" and you who can forget KISS fighting Frankenstein and the boys in the haunted house!?  Good stuff....if I had a DVR I would send you a copy...maybe someone else here has both it and a dvr?

I really don't think so bud. It's a Hanna Barbera movie in the 70's. (literally! and they use plenty of HB's cartoon sounds throught the film)

I don't even think there are even any mildly sexual undertones whatsoever.

Here is the plot off the top of my head: KISS is playing a theme park for a few days straight. The "engineer" of all the "robots" and props is Abner Deveroux "The Phantom"--basically it's like a body snatchers type deal, he is getting rid of the current staff who he is at odds with and replacing them his look alike robot henchmen...in fact, KISS becomes powerless and is also replaced....including a live performance by "evil KISS" where the lyrics to Hotter Than Hell become "Rip And Destroy"...trying to brainwash the fans into doing their destructive deeds.

KISS finally gets their powers back and have some big brawls with their "evil dopplegangers"--some Universal Monsters and other  various robots....and finally a showdown with the Phantom.

The movie opens with Rock And Roll All Nite...they do I Stole Your Love using the massive Love Gun stage and a few others.

The movie is absolutely horrible and I love it....basically they replace the Scooby gang with KISS and it's not a cartoon--that's the short version of everything I typed lol.

This is Marvel Comics, Mego era KISS.....nothing too dangerous here, just fun stuff with great music!

I haven't really paid that much attention to the Mystery Inc. episodes, though both my girls love them, until...episode 6 The Legend of Alice May!  This one featured a pretty cool (or ghoul) reference to Scooby past...as soon as I heard the impersonation I immediately looked up at the tv!

I'll just post a youtube link (you'll have to copy and past in your browser) so those that have youtube compatibility issues, the part I speak of begins at 2min 6sec~

Here is another reference they throw in later on in that same episode....an episode which also deals with the daughter of the classic Scooby-Doo villian, The Creeper.

Another reference, not Scooby persay but Hanna-Barbara, I noticed in another Mystery Inc. episode featured the teen versions of Pebbles and Bam Bam playing volley ball as the gang drove past in the Mystery Machine.

I was slammed on another site because I said I kind of enjoyed the DVD movie Scooby Doo The Mystery Begins.
