NECA has made an official announcement! In July we get Frankenstein (b/w) with a color version following after, then we're getting The Mummy, The Wolfman and Bela Lugosi's Dracula!

https://necaonline.com/2021/04/universal-monsters-action-figures-coming-in-2021-from-neca/

From the article:

The first figure (arriving in July) will be Frankenstein's Monster from Frankenstein (1931), which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. The sculpt captures Boris Karloff's poignant portrayal of the misunderstood monster in authentic black-and-white. A color version of the figure will follow.

Subsequent figures set for 2021 will include Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man from The Wolf Man (1941), Boris Karloff as the titular figure in The Mummy (1932), and Bela Lugosi as the legendary Count in Dracula (1931).

"We are proud to be working with NECA to include Bela Lugosi as Dracula as an Ultimate figure," said Lynne Lugosi Sparks, CEO of LUGOSI LLC. "NECA's attention to detail is amazing and we are happy to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Bela Lugosi's iconic screen performance as Dracula with this figure."

Dark Knight 1985

This is great news and what a time yet again to be a UM collector. Every ten years or so in the past couple decades we been treated to some really cool Monster figures From Sideshow to Diamond and now Neca & Super7 Reaction line. With exception to a few other items I between. We all knew with the Mummy , Wolfman and Lugosi Dracula all being teased earlier this year it was only a matter of time before Neca and Randy Falk had the official announcement of what figures will be released in 2021.  I can't wait to see more prototypes of the Monsters hopefully sooner rather than later. Falk did mention he has a packaged Karloff Frankenstein Monster in hand and it's just awesome. So let's expect some production sample images of it very soon especially with a June/July release date we're about two /three months away from owning this piece ! The day the Karloff Monster  Is released I will be picking him up.

But, if it is black & white we won't get to enjoy his pretty green jacket.

Pretty sure that's not happening in this line.   ;D

So glad we got a Bela.  Interesting that a new Lugosi is handling things.

Bela Jr. has done his bit for King and Country. As has Ron Chaney. I do believe both of them have passed the torch to the next generations of gatekeepers now.

Wolfman or Drac??

I noticed in their article from the other day announcing the Lugosi Dracula figure, they mention Wolfman, then the Mummy and then Dracula. So many that means Wolfman is next. Unless they're just referring to the color version of Frankenstein.

Color Frankenstein pics. Looking at Father's Day. Wal Mart exclusive for the first few weeks. Then other retailers get them.

Frank looks too fat.  Looks more like the Son of Frank body.

The extra expressions and hands sell me.  Walmart will ship it to me free.

When is Father's Day?

None of y'all dancing up and down for him having a black jacket?

I was excited for this but I just don't see Karloff in that standard head sculpt, the other two heads are much closer; also as was mentioned by someone earlier he looks to bulky. Definitely won't have to get all these and will only bother with the ones that I feel nail it....although maybe seeing the figure in person will change my mind.

Sunday, June 20, this year.

Ohhh, I thought he was referring to tax day in the US, when the government informs you that they are, in fact, your daddy. But this year that's tomorrow.
