I was excited for this but I just don't see Karloff in that standard head sculpt, the other two heads are much closer

I agree. Maybe (I hope) it's just an angle. When I saw it the first thought that came to me was it looked like Frankenstein had his wisdom teeth taken out and he is still swollen.

......to all that receive the NECA Frankenstein
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Like others, I was not wholly impressed with this Frankenstein figure.  Like, I LOVE it on many levels, but it just doesn't look quite right in the face sculpts or the body size.  Nonetheless, it's an amazing figure I will be certain to get... even if we're stuck with the awful "head" poster art for the boxes...  There are literally SO MANY COOL POSTERS... and they keep giving us these ones.  Ugh.  My main reason for getting this Frankie, though, is the forthcoming Dracula and Wolf Man.  The Mummy also looks cool, but, in the figures department, I really just need more Dracula, Wolf Man, and Creeches...  and any rarities they want to throw me.  Karloff has been done to death.  But this is one I'll buy if only because it's the start of what could be the greatest line ever.

Based on this being the first in the line (of hopefully many more), Neca still has a LONG WAYS to go to match the artistry of the Sideshow 8-inch PVC and 1/6 figure line, which was and still is the greatest line ever!

The pudding prooofer will be Wolfman and Dracula. Sideshow (in my humble opinion) didn't do enough justice to those two. Let's hope NECA's first Karloff offering is their official "not quite a bullseye" release, and the others are spot on. They seem to have nailed the Karloff Mummy from the pics. Yet the Karloff Mummy has been saturated. We need Chaney Kharis at this point.

Love me some Sideshow.  They became plastic statues at the end, though.  Like Anton points out, Dracula and Wolfie were not tops, and their posability was very questionable with lots of breakage.  Most sculpts were phenomenal, though.

I'm excited for the Neca Universal Monsters line and I was originally going to buy the Black/White Version but after seeing the colored Karloff Monster now I may start to look for him at Walmart's next month it is cool that nicely detailed figures will yet again be at retail and online shops, I think the poster art boxes are cool and I think Neca will do All the poster pictures we saw on the SS 12" line , in ways it pays homage to that in a smaller box form. I'm fine with this original Frankenstein picture I believe The Mummy, Wolfman and Dracula will have the same style poster boxes but for the silver screen editions they may actually use a different picture ? Will just have to wait and see when neca does more Reveals. I like the pale green skin they in which Diamond sorta used on their Frankenstein then later Mezco and Mego recently. The Sideshow seemed to have more of a darker green color on the Karloff Monsters. I think over the years from Source material for this they are getting more accurate to what the actual colors were between the makeup and outfit for Frankenstein.

Toyark posted a photo gallery of the color Frankenstein figure.  I feel its safe to say these photos do it more justice than the previous ones.  I'd feel bad for anyone passing this one up. Looks like frikkin Karloff to me! https://news.toyark.com/2021/05/31/frankenstein-ultimate-frankensteins-monster-color-version-by-neca-toyark-advanced-photo-shoot-427063

With the early release of the Target exclusives I have high hopes these will show up over the next week or two early as well at Walmart.

Yup.  Didn't need to sell me, but these new pics definitely did!

I can only hope The Wolfman looks as good as Frankenstein. Maybe we can get a Chaney Kharis as well. Awesome figure!

Dark Knight 1985

Yes ! These new photos truly show how great this figures sculpt and paint is.. I believe Walmart on the West Coast May have him with in a week or two  depending on shipments if he is released early. July the Color Karloff Monster will be released more widely available.  B & W Variant is suppose to be late June at Neca  wholesale retailers and Target. I'm  still deciding on which one I'm getting as I have not placed a pre order yet. The excitement is here for Universal Monsters in 2021!

Those color pics are really impressive! Love all the extra heads, hands and accessories! Just missing a little Maria to toss into the water.

Have there been any photos (or even an announcement) of a Bride of Frankenstein?
