This is an original finished sketch of The Wolf Man being shot out of a tree from the Hasbro Paint and Pencil by Number set.  I recently found out and I believe these sketches may also have been released as part of an individual paint and pencil set.

There aren't many, if any pictures of these in the wild, so I figured I'd share.

So you believe that was a Hasbro factory issued piece? Issued to retailers as a sample to promote the Numbered Pencil and Paint Sets perhaps? To include the coloured sheet within sets wouldn't have made that much sense.

???

Collecting! It's what I do!

No, the blank would have been included in the set.  Like Mike said, some kid probably colored it back in the 60's/70's.  This is an original though, not a copy.

Yes, I have seen all the threads on the horror house sets, but there isn't much info (completed/colored) out there on the sketches.  They seem to take a back seat to the main PBN's.

But the sketches are awesome!

I will share some more down the road, but not quite ready yet haha

Here are some photos of the packaging of Hasbro's monster Numbered Pencil and Paint sets which each contained 12 paper monster sketches, one of which the poster illustrates a finished example shown above.
The second photo is from a 1963 Hasbro catalog showing all three of the pencil/water color paint sets.
Thirty-six paper sketches (some duplicates) were also included in the Hasbro Horror House set sold exclusively through Sears in 1963 and 1964.

Below is a link from a few yeas ago discussing the pencil/paint sets.
