Hard to watch a Bogart/Bacall movie without wanting to watch another.

Hard to believe they only made 4 movies together (not counting "Two Guys from Milwaukee").

 Taxi Driver (1976) -

All-time classic with unbeatable screenplay. Gritty, dirty, violent...DeNiro's best performance. Great score by Bernard Herrmann.

I like how he quotes "Psycho" at the very end of the "Taxi Driver" score. That famous 3 note thing.

From the "Psycho" score. First 3 notes of this clip. https://youtu.be/6uZLwfj4rso?t=264

Last 3 notes of the TD score. https://youtu.be/cXx4TUkD3UE?t=848

Student Bodies, 1981 - Someone is murdering kids at one high school.

Starring no one.

Typical 30-year old high school student nonsense.  Supposed to be funny, but most definitely is NOT.

Only interesting thing to me was an actor named Patrick "The Stick" Varnell.  He was the living incarnation of Tarman.

Very interesting (as Artie Johnson would say). Speaking of the "Psycho" score....has anyone one noticed how similar the "Re-animator" one is? It's lawsuit-worthy. Check it out, if you can. Sorry, I don't know how to do links (Adam tried to teach me but...oh, well).

Good lord!   Surely there is something in the "Re-animator" credits acknowledging Herrmann, or "Psycho"!  That's just a disco version of Herrmann's music.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Couldn't find anything in the credits, though.

And it's not even a Universal movie. Studios used to use stock footage, or music cues from their older movies in current productions.

As protective as Universal is about their product licensing, you'd think this would at least register a blip or two. It's one of the most iconic film scores in movie history. The staccato strings from the shower scene serve as my ringtone (which accidentally  caused an uproar in my doctor's office).

;D ;D

If I had a cell phone, I'd want the "red phone" ring from "Our Man Flint".  :)

I have Student Bodies on bluray. But I disagree. Student Bodies is super funny. Especially the beginning scene.
The film is precursor to all those horrible Scary Movie films.

I got it because the plot sounded interesting - and with 234 Amazon ratings it had 4 stars.

Now I know who to blame.
