Hi ya Craig. We made a change last week regarding post edits. An announcement was made at the Announcements board - http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=3654.0

This was done as a means to prevent folks who start threads and then come back later and completely wipe away their content from which an entire thread would evolve from. This would kill the entire thread since the foundation from which the thread evolved was taken away thereby leaving a bunch of nonsensical gibberish. This was frowned upon by me, and I'm sure many others here who invested their time at a thread only to have it obliterated because somebody felt compelled to pull the rug out.

Long story short ... members now have 24 hrs to edit their posts. After that time, should a someone need to edit a post, they will have to contact a moderator to do so. Not a perfect plan at the moment, but one that was deemed necessary.

This particular board was a concern we had upon making the post edit change rule. And you are right Craig in pointing this out. It does make this Swap forum more clumsy to use. We are looking into other technical options that would allow this board to continue as it once was without the edit rule.

In the meantime, may I suggest the old copy and paste method? This would entail you copying your previous post content and pasting that content into a new post with the necessary edits made. More work .. I know, but it will work until we find a better solution.
