We need 36 hour days!  ;D

Watched Detour like 3 more times and Bluebeard twice. I enjoyed Bluebeard, but both copies were of such dismal quality, I really couldn't get into it. Of course the Detour wasn't much better, but I could have watched that on a 9" analog television in the middle of the thunderstom and still loved every minute. I'm gonna watch Strange Illusion and Ruthless tonight, then Man From Planet X and a few other over the weekend, then it's back to straight uop "horror". I'm not going down the noir road until after Halloween!

Yeah, I've got a ton of Noir I need to watch. LOVE IT!! And I just found this dealer on the internet that has HUNDREDS of those old 60s and 70s "Movie Of The Week" episodes. Man, the TV horror back then was better than 99% of the horror in the theaters now. I've got to start stockpiling those while I can too!!

36 hour days doesn't seem like enough either.
We're all here because we're not all there.

The one and only "Dracula" (1931) last night at the Heritage Park Haunt in Lake Forest, CA. Bela Jr. was there doing a Q&A and autograph signing. This Haunt has become a really fun event over the past years, with Ron Chaney showing the Wolfman in '11, Sara Karloff with Frankenstein last year, and Bela with Dracula this year. The films are shown outdoors, with people sitting in the coastal fog on hay bales under a full moon -- very atmospheric. I always enjoy talking with Bela (despite what some people on this site, most of whom have probably never met him, wrongly think of him). And his daughter Lynne is one of the sweetest people I know. I hadn't watched Dracula for a number of years, and seeing it again made me again appreciate those amazing closeup shots of Bela's expressive face and hands. Absolutely classic!...

Sounds like a great time. I envy you living in Cali with all the cool events.  8)

Hello Horror Fans,

Watching The Creature From the Black Lagoon 1954 right now. I'll probably follow it up with the two sequels.
