Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!

I entered the House of Dracula last night. Today I will enter the House of Frankenstein and then encounter the Son of Frankenstein.

Had a midnight snack with Dr. Moreau on the Island of Lost Souls!!

Noticed for the first time (though I'm sure most here know about it), as the animal-men are forcing their way into Moreau's compound an extra's (animal-man's) wig catches on fire from another extra's torch, just before the scene cuts out you can see another extra go to put the flame out with his hand!

Son of Frankenstein - a few days ago
Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein - together - tonight with my mother, it was a fun time

I have just watched my two favourites Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein , and can do so at the drop as a hat as I have recently downloaded both Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenkenstein onto my iPad 2 and have watched them over and over I love them both very much in their original form as black and white versions full of chiaroscuro lighting and wonderful deep black and white .

However I was just reading the Phantom of the Opera in 3D thread on this website , and they both have several sequences which would benefit from 3D!   " Sacrilege!" I hear people cry , and I undersand these feelings , it recalls the colourisation debate all over again , and I know it would be said to take away these classic movie's essential integrity , and yet had these movies been made today they'd have been made with colour ( indeed colour tests WERE made for both The Bride of Frankenstein and The Son of Frankenstein ) and 3D!  Yet nevertheless there are several scenes in both movies which already have great depth , for example the sequence with Waldman and Henry discussing the  Monster when we first meet him and Fritz torturing the Monster , in The Bride of Frankenstein the Creation of the Bride Laboratory Scene has amazing depth and the scenes in the forest etcetera !

I was recently delighted to hear or rather read on the Internet that Dracula , and Frankenstein and it's superior sequel The Bride of Frankenstein are all to be given their Blu Ray debuts courtesy of Universal's Centenary Celebrations!   I'm so looking forward to their appearance on Blu Ray later this year and to see what improvements have been wrought by Universal's audio visual technicians!

Caught The Island of Lost Souls the other night, too, Erin!

Last night on TMC, I saw The Invisible Man (1933) and Frankenstein (1931) back to back as ode to James Whale.

I never noticed it before but you are absolutely right about Zita Johan and Drew!
I watched the 1943 Phantom the other night
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

I can not believe the similarities between Zita J. ...and Drew B. Weird.
