On New Year's Eve I put in the special features disc from the King Kong tin box set and watched all the special features until about 2:30, then on New Years Day I put in the movie and started my year of with Kong!
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Unless you watched the Peter Jackson version, King Kong is not a Universal Monster. The original was RKO, the Toho productions were distributed by Universal in America, the 70s remake and 80s sequel were Paramount.

That doesn't mean starting off the new year with Kong isn't awesome. You started off your new year well.

I am watching Dracula right now. Bela was the king.
Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!

The Invisible Woman

I watched Creature From the Black Lagoon last night.
"The whole world's my hiding place."

Probably once monthly or so--1.5 or two monthly if you count number the 50s SF (esp the MST3K versions). If the 30 days is July, this limbs way up.

I've been Netflixing a lot of 30s-50s scary films that I haven't seen in decades that I used to see twice a season or more on TV while increasing up (Invisible Ray, The Raven, the Mummy sequels).

I keep the Older selection on the top space and will pop one of the 40s films in if I'm clearing up up or doing some type of "hand work".

In the last several decades, Son of Dracula's become one of my favorites--lot of nutrients in there.
