Love these slightly sweet popcorn balls.  I buy just enough to give out on Halloween night, then go back when they have been marked down and stock up for my personal use.

Haven't seen these elongated popcorn "cobs" anywhere, but Kathy Kaye's website has them listed.  Probably too much caramel for me.  I like their drier popcorn balls.

You know that real Cheddar is white/off-white and that orange cheddar stuff is dyed. Tastes the same.

The yellow/orange color comes from the beta-carotene in the grass the cows eat. They skim off the fat (where the beta-carotene is) from the milk to make butter.  That's why the butter is yellow and the cheese is white.

Sometimes a slight yellow, but never orange . Ever see orange milk ?  Those orange cheetos and cheezits, and orange chedder cheese logs and bricks are all dyed. It is more attractive to consumers that way.  Same taste though. I like all the white cheddar products. You don't get all that orange stuff all over yourself. Like red Pistachios.

I don't discriminate between white and orange.  I just really dislike all the dried cheese snacks...  Cheetos, Nacho Cheese Doritos (Cool Ranch is so much better), and Cheez Its.  Wet cheese... good.  Dried cheese... bad.

Yeah, I'm a downtown boy. I hate having to head out into the suburbs.
