A Taste of Halloween

Our WM has a bakery/deli. I just assumed they made them. If not, then they truck them in from somewhere.

As a kid, I hated Easter.   What a waste of a holiday.  It always came on a Sunday, so we didn't even get a day off from school; the candy was cheaply made; the chocolate was waxy and your basket was stuffed with worthless imitation grass and these inexpensive little space-fillers.

Me I took whatever I could get as a kid.

Wow.  I could never pinpoint exactly what I didn't like about Easter candy, but I think you've nailed it here.

Worse yet it was hollow. I always thought that was such a rip-off.

Fine milk chocolates have a wonderful creamy texture on the tongue.

Most bunny-shaped chocolate lacks that and doesn't have as rich an aroma to entice you to take a bite.

I don't like chocolate that's too fine, i.e. rich. You can't eat as much!



Although I do agree that most bunny-shaped chocolate isn't really very good.

A real chocolate bar actually costs around $250.00 .  You won't see those in your Halloween Bucket.

There is a store in Rockefeller Center in NYC that sells real chocolate at $18.00 a piece. It is amazing stuff.

I'm not big on Chocolate Pop Tarts. I prefer the fruit flavoured varieties of Pop Tarts.

Love these slightly sweet popcorn balls.  I buy just enough to give out on Halloween night, then go back when they have been marked down and stock up for my personal use.

Haven't seen these elongated popcorn "cobs" anywhere, but Kathy Kaye's website has them listed.  Probably too much caramel for me.  I like their drier popcorn balls.

Oh wow! Those packaged  popcorn balls are boss cool!



Sadly I've never seen any Kathy Kaye products in Canada.
