GAKENSTEIN

Hey fellow recruits!  Had an inspiration today while rummaging about in my local flea market:  Why don't we post photos of everyone's favorite monster, the infamous, ubiquitous Frankenstein!  With All Hallow's Eve right around the corner, October is rife with Frankensteins.
Some are bonafide Universal licensed versions, more are pathetic knock-offs, and most are even worse, but they are always fun.  Heck, other than the Jack O'Lantern our Frankie is practically THE symbol for Halloween!  So, next time you spot an unusual or way cool version of Ms. Shelley's
creation, in any form --  3D figure, printed page or greeting card, sign, knick knack, paddywack...whatever, snap a pic and post it here and share the fun.

Back to the flea market....  I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted this piece of folk art.  Enjoy. And... Frank you, Frank you very much.

Great idea Gary! Bring on those Franks! Bring 'em on by the handful. Let's have a full blown Frankenstein orgy. I want to wake up tomorrow morning and see 20 different Frankenstein monsters here.

BTW, Elvis is still cool even with green greasepaint and bolts. King Karloff you say? I'm afraid not. There was only one king. Viva UMA baby!

The Phantom Creep

There is a website for the guy who makes those Elvis Frankenstein busts and he has a lot of other really cool ones including a Wolf Man. Unfortunately I don't remember what it is, or it may not exist anymore as it's been years since I first went to it. I tried a quick Google search but I didn't turn up anything.

I've seen those crazy Nike shoes before but never that hat. I want one of those!!

In Athens, GA. This has been there forever and doesn't really make any sense.

Makes sense that Frankenstein signage is at a car place- it was off an advertisement for batteries or shock absorbers or something similar carwise a couple of years ago. I tried to get something from a local suspension place that I knew had some display pieces (they reshocked my car one morning), but I failed.
