I would love to be in a pew when you ask for some.

Nicole: "Errr, ummm, Father, may I fill my bottle with Holy Water?"

Priest: "Certainly.  For what purpose do you need it?"

Nicole: (Thinking that lying is bad enough, let alone in the House of God and to a person of the cloth, no less)...."Umm, *whispers* Vampires."   :D

And I can hear her actually saying it just like that.

Well, I don't have a camera to show, but yesterday I picked up a set of the monster balls that featured wolfman, mummy, frank, and dracula.  they're pretty old, dated 1959. still in it's original package.  Payed 12 bucks for it.  Seemed like a good deal so I took it.

Are you sure that date's not 1995?  I don't remember ever hearing of any toy related monster that old.  If so, we would VERY much like to see pictures when you can get a chance.

The date on the Monster Balls package-1959- is Universal's copyright renewal date, not the date of manufacture, which was the 1990s.

This is what it says on the back. I just assumed it meant it was reproduced in '59
I really need to get a camera.

Here's a pic of the Frankensttein one:

"Renewed" generally refers to the year a film company renewed the copyright on a film; most of the Universal Monsters were renewed in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  These are dates that generally don't pop up on too many recent UM items (at least that I have seen), but on occasion they do.  Generally on today's merchandise it will say that the UMs are copyright Universal Studios and that the likenesses belong to certain estates, etc.  But, release and renewal dates do pop up ever so often.  In fact, I learned many renewal dates for the UMs by looking at monster toys/collectibels.  Hope that helps.

Better that you brought it up than got it up.  (sorry)
"Work...Finish.  Then sleep!"

She asked "Why is your organ so small?"

He replied, "I didn't know I would be playing in a cathedral."

Vicky didn't laugh at all...

well, it was still a cool find for me. :)

Crazy1van

Hey, lewd jokes aside, that would be a cool find for me, too!  Closest I ever had was a Madballs werewolf, which could only resemble the Wolf Man if Universal had been bought out by the Garbage Pail Kids.

I thought I might find something cool at Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank NJ today... but they now have a Humans Only policy that I found offensive so I refused to go inside.

Plus they closed an hour before I got there.

I didn't know you were in my neck of the woods. I work like 10 minutes from The Stash...
