Hey M4S! i believe the Mighty Kong Big Mouth  was  from the early 1960's or it could be a tad earlier. you dont see them around too often. It came in two sections and i always had a junker with a rotted base but when i saw this one the very first thing this a/m at 6:30 i flipped. it was my first buy of the day and it was $5.00. AND it works.....!  Like the captain in the movie THE PERFECT STORM..."i always get the fish..."  Now if i can only find the gun and the ammo!

Get some foam rubber bananas (or foam rubber natives) to throw at him.

Thank you for the info brother! I just scored a Dracula off Ebay for $12 shipped. I'm stoked!

There are also a Frankenstein's Monster, a skeleton, and a ghost, as well as the aforemetioned characters.

Damn, that IS cool, Freddie! What a great display piece, too...Looks pretty big by the pic. Don't recall ever seeing it as a kid. Hope you find the gun soon! Was it originally sold in toy stores, or was it a mail order only offer?

Haunted hearse

On the "Big Mouth Kong", would they have had a special dart gun, or would they have used an off the shelf dartgun to pacckage it with?
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

freddie poe

I've never seen the compelete toy but i am sure Marx made their own dart guns...the best part is the Kong "roaring" that comes out via the battery box...more like a screaming chimp

Frankenmarx

Call me crazy, but I think hitting the 100 target in the mouth would be much easier than hitting the two 50 point targets that are located on the outer edges, leaving a much better chance of missing the board...and the mouth is bigger, too.  That will NEVER be used in official competition.  And yes, I was yelling when I typed NEVER.

I just picked this rad old candy bucket up from the bay. I think it's from the 70s. Anyone seen him before?

I also got this skull pendant. It's looks to be the same sculpt as the Wear A Weirdo pendant but its smaller. Also the Wear A Weirdos have a flat back & this guy has a rounded normal skull. I'm pretty stoked on him!

I scored these the other day. I don't have any info as to when they were made. But they are way cool & I had to have them.

Here is the Topstone version of those glasses.

I like this because it is the only example I have seen of Topstone using their Keith Ward mask characters (Male Vampire, Female Vampire) for non-mask products.

Is anything printed on the back of the card? Any info on the manufacturer/distributor?

That's a nice score.  You don't see many of the big boards like that - and most of those are missing a few stickers.

Wow! Are any stickers still left on the board or have you already applied them all?
