I just looked that up on eBay.  Nice Price!

Very nice addition for a model collector.

Sydney, Australia, has a free screening of this movie - in 3D - not long after I arrive home from my current overseas trip, but look who I found in Glasgow this week!:

I bought one of those retro MEGO style "Creature from the Black Lagoon" figures too. I think it's my favorite monster toy of 2013.

Therin of Andor

My main reason for buying him is because, supposedly, Mego was going to add one to their Universal Monster's line in the 70s and the unused sculpted hands and feet ended up being used to create a "Neptunian" for the "Star Trek" line instead, causing much consternation for Trek fans because the Neptunian was totally a Mego creation and had never appeared on the show:

Great gets, Freddie. Concerning the large Elwar buttons I was in the opposite situation...I had the Creature button from kiddays, but needed the other five. I got lucky and found the other five in one auction so we be good, dude. ;) Glad you had a blast at Chiller. I'm hoping to go someday before my foot makes contact with that damned bucket everyone avoids. ;D
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

DAMN, Freddie! Had no idea you bought SO much stuff while we were there...I had my eye on that Creech button, too but couldn't bring myself to part with the $$$. Congrats on some major scores!

MIKE! THATS WHERE WE GO WHEN WE JUST SUDDENLY DISSAPEAR FROM THE/A  ROOM..... WE RUN TO THE DEALERS ROOM  AND BUY EVERYTHING UP!!! lol

Hepcat

These Ebay purchases just arrived at my door. This first is a brochure that was distributed to dealers to promote the new line of Testors "Big Daddy" Roth paints:

I very clearly remember being wowed at the time by both the ad for these paints in DC comic books and then the display in the hobby department of Cowan's Hardware store in downtown London. As a result, the brochure holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

This second is a poster that would have been used as a point of purchase display in stores when Revell first released the Mr. Gasser kit:

Interesting the way the poster could be used for either the Mr. Gasser or the Capitol Hot Rod Hootenanny LP!

These promotional brochures/displays are really tough to find these days.
