That is sweet. 

Looking at his hair, I am reminded of how Kong's hair would shift around when he moved.  I thought it was an added detail supposed to show that there was wind.  Much later, I learned from DVD commentary that it was just the fingerprints left by the stop-action technicians when they would reposition the armature between exposures - and they were trying very hard to NOT ruffle his hair.

They make a nice pair.
