frank-73- You got a nice haul there!!! Where on Earth did you find such amazing garage sales??  I've never actually been to a garage sale.....I've helped with a few, but I never stop to look around here because when you see the stuff from the road, it always looks like a bunch of old clothes. You have to tell us your garage sale methods  :)  Congratulations on your finds!
Therin!!!!!!  Your Frankenstein Jr. is incredible!!! I love your photo scenes  :)

Well charp first I lay the newspaper spread out on the ground with the garage sales side open and then I break out my divining crystal tied to a catgut string, I hold it over the paper and start chanting incantations and it starts spinning when it stops on a garage sale Ad that's the one I go to!     Haha! Im sorry im only kidding, couldn't resist. Acctually I just scan the paper and pick the ones that sound good usually if they say they have holiday decorations or toys or antiques. people close to retirement age or moving sales are best. They are getting rid of everything that theve held onto for years. Older neiborhoods are usually better. There are way more xmas decorations than halloween usually though.  sometimes you get lucky!
Mirabile dictu,don't you agree?

Frank 73, those are good indicators or possible great finds. I'm pretty much out in the country.......old toys advertised in the paper usually end up being rusty Tonka truck or some no-name metal tractor toy. Got lucky recently with the local Craig's List, but that's uncommon. Buddy

Scatter

Franky, that's a serious monsterhaul brutha!!
We're all here because we're not all there.

It's 100plus where i am but that didn't stop me from having a great Garage sale, Estate Sale, Flea market Weekend last week ;D.

First I got this complete Groovie Goolies Puzzle for 10cents

Then I got this 1971 Pull string Casper. It's weird because you pull the head from it's body to make it talk (and yes it does talk) :o

It's hard to find Dick Tracy Stuff but I got my hands on a 1946 Tess Trueheart kellogg's PEP Pin

I got a wired controlled Godzilla. It's made by radio shack but i don't know what year it's from, it looks like the 70's but I can't find it on the Internet anywhere so if any won has any info on it I'd love to know.

And to finish it all off I got two albums for a dollar each. First one is the SURFINK! featuring Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos,

and the second album is Monster Mash with John Zacherle.

I Hope you guys enjoy the pictures and I'll see you next score! :-*
"Creature Stole my Twinkie"

Monolith

Dr Creature Feature---that's a nice group of items you got! I have both of those albums and was just listening to the SURFINK! record yesterday, it's got a great bunch of songs on it. The Zacherle album has great songs also. It looks like you got one of those MAD magazine paper records inside the SURFINK! album, too.

Cool Surfink LP and the Groovie Goolies Puzzle
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

The Creeper

Awesome stuff!  I really like the Groovy Goolies puzzle!
Long live the UMA!

Dr. Creature Feature

Monolith---I love listening to the Surfink album, and the 45 in the album is a paper MAD magazine 45 called Fink Along with MAD "She lets me watch her mom and pop fight".
"Creature Stole my Twinkie"

My favorite MAD magazine paper 45 that I have is a song called "It's A Gas" which has the singer burping on it.
Oh, and as you can see from looking at the back of that SURFINK album there are two more Mr. Gasser records out there, but I wouldn't expect to find them for a dollar-they are all very rare and usually expensive if you can find them.

Hepcat

Here they are:

It's the Surfink one that I don't have though.

:(
Collecting! It's what I do!

Therin of Andor

In the early 70s(?), long before I knew who Ratfink was, I had a little party favour - it may have come as a prize from a box of Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs (candied popcorn and nuts a bit like US Crackerjacks) or maybe a "plastic egg" dispenser - and the item was a little canister with a lid on either end. One read "The smallest fink in the world" and, when you lifted off the cover, it contained a tiny green toy of Ratfink. The other side read "The largest fink in the world" and, when you lifted off that cover, it contained a mirror.
