Got these by pure luck. My sig. other almost never let's me drive her car when we go places. And the unspoken rule is that whoever is driving decides where we go and if we stop. She decided today to let me drive her car. So the second I spotted the blow-mold Halloween items I pulled over. Had she been driving we would have sailed right by.....no matter how I would have pleaded. True!

Just picked this up this morning.

This is a 9' X 10' "tropical" scenic backdrop, used from 1948-1963, at NBC-TV in Chicago, used in hundreds of productions.

Likely used on some of Ned Locke's shows (Ringmaster "Mr. Ned" from WGN's BOZO'S CIRCUS) during his tenure there, such as on UNCLE NED'S SQUADRON, etc. in the 1950s.

Wow!! I love stuff from early television!! Have you been able to screen match that background against any old kinescopes or anything Bob?

Well, I walked off with a bunch of stuff for one price, and I paid a fair price for everything I got, but after I sell off a bunch of it I should have this and a few other things to keep for free, and a little money to show for it.
