And I was so very fortunate to see his show at the Garden State Arts Center about a month before he died... he opened for JOE COCKER I believe.

The unbelievable part (I thought) was when STEVIE RAY was done, JOE COCKER had not yet come on stage, and nearly half the audience got up and walked out...  I stood up and exclaimed at them... "Where are you going?  JOE COCKER is coming on!!!"  Nobody listened.  STEVIE was great and it was his crowd, then JOE came on, was awesome, and hurled his ropes of sweat at us... >:(  Great show.

BERNARD HERRMANN's score for TAXI DRIVER

One of the greatest contemporary composers of the 20th Century.  I believe that his score for Taxi driver from the 1970's was his final work.
