Wow, you're all listening to some great stuff.  I love ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE... WILLIE NELSON Red Headed Stranger I had on vinyl...   ;)  Saw TOM JONES in Asbury Park, NJ a few years ago and loved the show; he's still great.  Good stuff.

I like some off the wall stuff and I was singing Little Freddy King's 'Crackhead Joe' a couple of years ago and noticed that there was a guy from the halfway house (people have to live somewhere and most of these guys just sit on their very nice front porch smoking/listening to sports/drinking coffee and being friendly) walking by and gave me a strange look.

So many of the great Delta bluesmen are still relatively unknown. Kudos to Fat Possum Records for "discovering" a few of them.

I've been buying up my old LPs, on CD (the ones I didn't already have, which is a lot), so I've been listening to lots of Strawbs, Yes, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Rush, Fairport Convention, The Doors, The Doobie Bros., Kansas and lots of odds and ends.

While I can understand why the record companies would want you to do so, I can't see the rationale from your standpoint.

I no longer have the LPs and wanted to listen to the music, so I 'm buying the CD versions.
