You're a braver man than me! I've almost watched this several times but thought better of it. Any good?

I hope Mars doesn't mind me answering your question. I thought it was one of the worst of the TCM movies. The only one worse was "TCM, The Next Generation". It's a prequel to the 2003 remake. Nothing new or exciting. Dull for the beginning, not much better at the end.

On the other hand, I say check it out; it's worth a watch.  Definitely not even close to being as bad as Next Generation.

Ok, I have to admit, it's always  cool seeing R. Lee Ermy in action. The explanation of how he became sheriff was very creative (no spoilers).

Los Vampiros De Coyoacan (1974)  5/10

Drags a little, but it's okay if you like Luchadores Vs. Monsters flicks. Mil Mascaras and Superzan drive around in a red convertible and, well...you know, fight monsters.

Rebirth Of Mothra I, II, and III (1996, 1997, 1998)  7/10

Good Dai Kaiju trilogy, especially if you enjoy a Magical Fantasy flavor. Maybe a bit too much slapstick humor with things flying around and landing in unlikely places. The fights and special effects are good in all three and I like the characters.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

I can't remember the name of the last one I saw, but it was dire. It was the one with Leatherface's super hot cousin. Near the end there was a cringe inducing scene where she says "do your thing 'cous!" Before he chops up a mean sheriff or someone. That was enough for me haha.

I'm not sure if 'Next Generation' was the last one I saw. I've lost count of them. I might give it a whirl, especially now I know R. Lee Ermy is in it.

I'm going to violate precedent here and recommend a western movie.  Hear me out.

The Hateful Eight, 2015 - It's the dead of winter in Wyoming about a decade after the Civil War.  A bounty hunter is transporting a female prisoner by stagecoach to Red Rock where she is to be hung.  Because of the severe weather conditions, the Bounty Hunter is compelled to accept two more passengers.  They are all forced to take shelter at the next way station, where they are met not by the normal proprietors, but by four strangers who claim to have been left in charge.

What follows is a wonderful, claustrophobic tale of intrigue and mayhem reminiscent of classic old mysteries like "And Then There Were None" where no one may be what they seem - but with a modern twist.  This is a Quinton Tarantino film.  It is bloody enough for lovers of slash & gore movies.

And how is this for a cast:  Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, etc.

Give this one a try.  You just might decide that there is one western you like after all.

I loved the Hateful Eight! I saw it at the cinema and it had me laughing out loud. A very clever script.

That would be TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D..

That was "Texas Chainsaw 3D". That one was much better than "TCM, The Beginning", believe it or not.  The main problem wth it (besides bad acting), was that they didn't account for the passage of 40 years between it and the original.

Monsters For Sale

Ghost Stories, 2017 - A psychic debunker is called upon by a seriously ill colleague to solve the only 3 cases that the dying man was never able to disprove.  What follows is an anthology of three tales of claimed haunting/psychic activity.

Very dark settings and effective use of sound and fleeting glimpses of what-the-hell-was-that?

Never did understand why one night guard was expected to watch over a huge abandoned asylum with nothing more than a flashlight and a claw hammer - or why he would be needed at all.

Kept my interest throughout.  A movie you can't turn away from without risking missing something dramatic and having to backup.

Like Maxwell House Coffee, this film is "good to the last drop".  But, for me, that last globule was a disappointing denouement.
